An Amazing (if Not the Best) Rifle a Person Can Buy Under $100

rifle

In this day and age, when finding a good hunting knife for under one hundred dollars ($100) is a bargain, it is the rare prospect to find a good rifle for the same price. Granted, a rifle for under two hundred dollars may not be the best but the one we want to talk with you about is pretty darn astonishing!

Let’s be honest, some of us have to be a little more thrifty than others when it comes to survival. There is nothing wrong with that. We cannot tell you how often we have made trips to the dollar store to pick up supplies.

Truthfully, if we had it in us to drop five hundred dollars on a good solid weapon we would do it without recrimination. But, right now, we have rent to pay, families to provide for, and while we are prepping we are also forced to be economical with the way we do it.

So, finding that awesome one hundred dollar rifle is a blessing!

After the break, go over to the next page and read up on a firearm that, while it may not be the best according to some, it still is pretty amazing and should not to be dismissed!

Not, the best survival rifle is the one you will be readily able to locate ammo for as you scourge the country side looking for food and supplies .. Calibers 30-06, 308 / 7.62×51 , 22, 223 / 556, 7.62×39, 12 ga, are some of the most popular calibers or ammo carried by our enemies .. A 12 ga is probably the most versatile as it has numerous uses and variations in ammo types ..

Absolutely and more if you switch to handguns .. I know I would be carrying a handgun w/ me 24/7 and they are easier to sleep w/ under your pillow ..

The best gun to have is the one your comfortable with. My girlfriend just has an old single shot 20GA and it has put a lot of meat on the table.

Got rid of my mosin for a reason. Too hard to find ammo in my area. I’ll stick with my 30-06

In a magical place where pay phones and blockbuster video still exists. A few people I know have been there it was called the 90s.

    I got my a 20gauge shotgun off a friend for $100 cash….and I also have an older 22lr

Great rifle! Love mine! But it’s heavy, kicks like a mule and ammo isn’t plentiful. Still inexpensive but demand has taken it significantly higher than $100.

If I have to grab just one rifle and hit the road, it would be the AR15 no doubt. If you’re prepping for survival situations, pry open the wallet. The AR can take a squirrel and up to big dear, it’s ideal for self defense in the field, the round is cheap and plentiful, and you can get a decent one for $900. Don’t be cheap with arguably the most valuable tool in your bag.

I have bought 2 of them the m44 for $75 and the m91/30 for about $90. I love my m44 model it’s the carbine. I can hit what ever I want with that riffle it’s an extension of my arm basically! I’m good with my AR too but if it comes out to accuracy at long range iron sights I’m going to go with my misinformed every time!

Yup, ain’t getting Mosins for that anymore.
Although, for a while the Chinese T53 was available in that price range, and the two I bought looked rough, but had bores as good as or better than any of my Mosins. Both shot great, and are quite a bit shorter than a 91/30.

You can use them to get by until you find someone with a nicer weapon, then shoot them and upgrade.

  16. Eric Dale Johnson said:

You can find them through cheaperthandirt.com and have them shipped to an ffl in your area after purchase.

OK by your clarifications I accept your premise about this being a good choice under the circumstances you described. The pros: low cost, reliable, consistent; cons: crappy sights, crappy trigger, and you’ll need to stockpile ammo because it isn’t made anywhere nearby and its a pita to reload the Berdan-primed cartridge w/ a hard alloy casing. I’ve always used shotshell primers, they work fine if you can’t find Berdans, but seriously if you spend $100 on one you best spend a bit more, get a cache of milsurp ammo.

  18. Taylor Ginther said:

Shotgun range is too short for a sole weapon IMHO. I believe in a rifle/sidearm combo. AR plus a 1911 in .45acp, but he did say ≤$100, so Moisin Nagant is a good for this.

  19. Crandall Nielson said:

No. You can’t any more. I can definitely say that they are arguably one of the best bolt action military rifles out there.

  20. Gary Alexander Sharnbroich said:

I got mine for 80 bucks. Got a synthetic archangel stock put on. Re did my bolt so it was bent. Got a collapsible bi pod and an 8×35 scope. It’s stood winter hunting in Montana to the new Mexico dessert. With a butt pad the kick is nice and managable

  21. John H. White said:

*click bait* whoever put this here knows the price is rapidly approaching twice that one hundred dollars mark. And while they are OK rifles, ammo is not cheap unless you get old surplus and then it’s corrosive. And the safety, while they work and are functional, just sucks

  22. Clark Burdine said:

Only 2 cartridges are available everywhere! 30-30 & 30-06. I’ve bought them in gas stations in Wellington, Utah, Duchesne, Utah, Prescott, Arizona, tiny little Coaltown, WVa and every place I’ve ever been…. Moisin Nagant, gun shows! Great cartridge but usually corrosive. Kicks like a mule! Buy 30-30 or 30-06 and you’ll be much happier!
