Quality always matters, but it is particularly true with knives.
You will use a quality knife on a hunting, fishing or camping trip virtually every day and often several times a day.
In a survival situation, you will use your survival knife at least multiple times and more often than not, dozens of times.
Because of that, you want the knife to be strong, reliable and resilient, which means quality matters above every other consideration.
For your money's worth, if quality is the issue, it is hard to beat Buck knives.
Yes, there are knives out there that meet Buck's quality and dependability, but they usually cost a lot more. There are also knives that are less expensive, but the quality is not there.
Buck gives you quality and a good deal.

Carry my 110 every day
Agreed.
Buy from a local little guy! You wont regret it!
Mine still says U.S.A.
Depends on where you buy from
Some do,some don’t.
I buy from anywhere that has them. I live fairly close to the factory in Idaho.
More and more buck knives are being made in the USA again. Unlike most Gerber’s, Schrades, old timers, and uncle henryS
f**k that I will make my own awesome knives and I know they are well built by my own 2 hands and for whatever I need Skinner filet Bowie machete axe or shovel tomahawk
That’s a good deal.I own several but it really turned me off when I got my first foreign made one.
I have to say though.A few months ago I was outside working and found a Gerber I lost years ago by a tree.Wasn’t even hurt.Wherever they made that one they made a quality knife.
7? OMG! I am 5 behind. ….
I carry my buck and a cheap little folder everyday.
Along with a Bic lighter and a zippo.
I have a buck pathfinder I will never get rid of, however, for a folder, I got a bench made and they blow buck out of the water, but at a much higher price.
Buck 110 is hard to beat
Brent
There’s a reason so many of the old folks carried Buck and Old Timer knives.
Sodbustet

Is this an article or an advertisement?

Buck 110. Classic.
I’ll take a Cherokee over buck any day. D2 blades that hardly ever need sharpening
Hard to keep sharp but when it’s sharp it’s the best and a great warranty
I have a 110 Hunter I bought in 1974 at the Navy Exchange for $10 🙂

The buck 110
Just make sure any Buck you buy is made in the USA. Many now (sadly) are made in China.
I am good with my Morakniv knives, thanks though
Trace Smith
As a knife maker with 30 years on the job I can honestly say I have seen more broken Buck 110s and repaired more of them (tips usually) than any other brand of American made production knife.
yeah sounds like a sales pitch im unconvinced, i stick to making my own , moras or opinel. and frankly if you pull a knife for a fight expect to get cut
Edc knife. My pack has a machete, skinner, scaling and of course a 6″ toothed knife for cutting tough hides
I don’t know. Buck knives are cool, and expensive. If you don’t own a few, you ain’t a man, etc. The damn things are hollow ground and brittle. Great collectors knife, not much for use.
Love my Buck Reaper
As an arborist, this is one of my everyday tools and always on my hip!
Plus, a sales pitch without pics of knives suggested? Not a great article.
Who else thinks Fishings is cool
(Y)…:)
Still carry mine. Had since Vietnam
110 folding awesome knife never leave home without it
