When you were a young boy, you likely used airsoft guns and BB guns before you graduated to other guns. You probably also had a pellet gun, because, after all, that's where young outdoorsmen begin. Pellet guns are easy to use, and they also are remarkable easy to use.
As survivalists age, they tend to leave their BB guns behind and focus on larger calibers for hunting and more. It's a skill many survivalists desire to have — using different weapons so that they'll be more than ready for when SHTF.
However, when the collapse takes place, a humble pellet gun will once more become a dependable weapon for many survivalists. For you to provide for your family, you will need to rely on this small-caliber weapon.
But is it really the best idea to put your trust in a pellet gun when you can have a wide variety of powerful weapons instead?
After the break, check out four important reasons you should not give up on your pellet gun. Who knew that in reality, this gun is one of the most practical solutions to helping you deal with a collapse!

Lol Justin Morren I remember your pellet gun obsession “oh good for target practice in the apartment”
Have a couple already, Gamo and Benjamin
If anyone can find the casting moulds for .22 pelkets that has good reviews can you let me know . I’ve come across a few moulds but have seen bad reports on them with barrel jams etc
Hammerli Storm at 1400 fps. Quite and faster than a .22lr.
Hammerli storm.
One of the most popular trade items during the Corps of Discovery was the pellet gun.

Come chat with those that shoot daily. Alot of great Info
Already have 2
Have these 2 beauties
What brand are those? Nice heavy duty look.
got my old ones but I’ve noticed that the new models are 1 pump and 1200-1400 fps! Dang!! better that a 22 lr.
I prefer a long barrel 22 rifle with cci cb caps or subsonic rounds my single shot HR 22 is so quiet with the cb rounds you only hear the firing pin hit when you pull the trigger and no I don’t have a silencer on it stock barrel only subsonic rounds are as quiet or quieter than most adult air rifles and hit a lot harder even the cb rounds retain more energy at any distance over 15 yards at least this has been my personal experience in the matter
Same story here, modern air guns make the old stuff look pretty timid, but I’ve always figured an air rifle or three into my survival plans. Ammunition is dirt cheap, they’re great for taking small game, and teaching basic firearms skills. Great topic, thanks 🙂 sadly I’m still looking into my next one, as I don’t have any at the moment.
Daystate Airwolf and a weihrauch 80
I just bought a cyber Monday air rifle with a suppression device, one pump at 1200 ft per second. 79 bucks. That is pretty fast.
I have a ruger with both barrels 1.77 and .22
I find both louder than my .22 savage bolt gun
Hey man what ammo brands do you use? I got CCIs 710fps subs, but I havnt tried em in my short barrel yet
My main air rifle is a daystate Airwolf with shrouded barrel and carbon fibre silencer so quiet some have said have you let the shot off yet.
Cci cb caps run at 750 fps Remington subsonic rounds run at 1200 or 1150 fps both are quite out of a 24 in. Barrel the shorter the barrel gets the louder the shot the cb caps sound like a cap gun in my revolver’s
The first time I fired the cci short cb caps out of my HR single shot 22 I thought it was a misfire till I ejected the spent casing then I checked to make sure it wasn’t still lodged in the barrel it wasn’t and at 25 yards they hold a ragged but small one hole five shot group
Why not just a slingshot? Use any rock
Lot to be said for the humble pellet gun. Don’t knock em.
Especially when you add more power to it.. Eh? … Ehhhh? 😉
I have several in both calibers, .177 & .22.
Great for exterminating squirrels, possums, armadillos and other varmints.
However, they do run close in noise to a .22 rifle.
That couldn’t fit on one damn page?
I have a high end one that actually had more kills under its belt than any of my other weapons… Rabbits and squirrels and such…
Yeah small game hunting. Safe precious ammo for the big game.
Still have mine, use it at the lake…
Shaun Reece see bro Ed is ahead of the game
In 22 it can do the small game hunting a powder 22 can do and you can have more shots on you. I use one all the time for rabbits and the noise is so low you shoot one and if he has friends they are still around.
This article keeps using the word “weapon” … This weapon bla bla bla and hunting… so I’m trying to find the weapon application of a pellet gun and they keep talking about hunting. So I guess a pellet gun is a good hunting TOOL and not a weapon at all.
Look William Carpenter
Rizon Clark
Ragean Bass
Got it Ruger Blackhawk
It’ll work great for killing rats to feed your families
Mikey Lopes check this out. It all makes sense. Specially the abundant, cheap ammo and silent, efficient shooting of small game.
You’ll put your eye out
I have one at home lol a sawed off single shot. Ya they have military grade ones. One of.my neighbors hunts with one lmfao. They aren’t that silent tho. Check them out on youtube. I love the pump ones.
Paul Draper
Smart… Now I need a better pellet gun.
They have more uses then people think
One came in handy when a$#%&!@*started taking my chickens. It was quiet, didn’t alarm the neighbors at night and got the job done.
I got one, winchester. trigger pull is about 50 lbs too much anyone know of a way to fix this?
Raven Arnold
Can’t find a good pic of it, but that’s ole dusty (cross man fury) I’ve had that thing for years still as good as ever
OLe dusty. (Cross man fury) I’ve had this for years. Still as good as ever
Eric Kent
