    It will kill small animals. Pellets are pretty cheap. It’s an excellent tool to have if tshtf.

    I have the Diana RWS 350 Magnum in .22 caliber. This rifle is very accurate and more than capable of taking down small game, I highly recommend it.

    I saw one called the Gamo Whisper. Shoots accurately up to 100 yards with a built in suppressor. It’s a very Advanced Pellet gun. Tactical stock with scope. A great looking gun. Price is $250

    Grew up with a Benjamin pump 22, recently had it reworked. Also have an RWS fixed barrel side$#%&!@*177. Powerful, accurate, very heavy! I really want a Benjamin Discovery. It seems to me to be the perfect 22 air rifle.

    I have a Crossman G1 extreme. I use it for small game and love it! Drilled a rabbit at 35 yards using a PBA raptor pellet and was an instant, clean harvest.

    No go for foot pounds of energy per square inch, and accuracy. Aka I’ll take my 900 fps.25 caliber with heavy load stuff over a 1350 fps .177 light ammo because I have far more energy and power in my larger shot

    I understand the energy thing. I just want new to air guns folk to understand that just because the box at the big box store says the rifle is fast doesn’t make it useful if you can’t hit anything. Go air gunners!

    The one on the picture may not be the best or most powerful pellet gun you can get. But a pellet gun I’d a mice addition for sure

    Make sure you get a higher power one. No co2. Also find the repair manual not just the owners manual so you can keep it working for ever. Maintain it and practice with it and you can feed yourself with small game for a long time.

    The basic air rifles are spring loaded air chambered types like a Winchester 1000x or 1100.

    I grew up with a .20cal Sheridan pump pistol. My buddy used the matching rifle. We shot thousands of rounds through them. They never seemed to lose accuracy or power and they still shoot today.
