3 Easy Weapons You Can Make At Home Today

Sometimes when people think of “weapons” they immediately think of knives or guns. These are obvious weapons of course, but there are so many other types of weapons that can be used in the event of an emergency or the need for self defense. Like our first one here:

1. Homemade Pepper Spray – What you'll need:

1. 1-2 Peppers. We recommend the following: red jalapenos, Thai chili's, or habanero
2. Water
4. A small spray container for the finished pepper spray
5. Gloves (if you've ever cut peppers and then scratched your eye later in the day, you'll understand the importance of gloves

Using a cutting board and knife, dice the peppers of your choice, making sure to keep the seeds. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the crushed peppers along with their seeds. Boil for 2 minutes and reduce the heat. Once cooled, pour the liquid (and the peppers) into the spray container of your choice. BAM- you're done!

2. Powerful Slingshot – What you'll need:

  1. small length of rectangular pipe
  2. 2 eye bolts
  3. 1 screw (about 4 inches)
  4. 2 rubber tubes (surgical tubes can be used, too. But go for something sturdy!)
  5. 1 Patch of leather (most hobby stores carry these)
  6. Assortment of nuts to fit bolt
  7. FIMO modeleling clay (We found this at our local hobby store. But if you have difficulty locating it, you can find it on Amazon and eBay)

This sling shot is INSANE. Extremely durable and can pack an unbelievable amount of force depending on what you're using. Be very careful and use with caution.

3. Paracord Bullwhip – What you'll need:

  1. Scissors
  2. Lighter
  3. Paracord
  4. Cooking Oil
  5. BB amo/pellets
  6. Duct Tape
  7. Steel Rod
  8. Nylon
  9. Electrical tape
  10. Athletic tape

This one requires a bit more time. Not because it's particularly difficult. Easy enough to do in a day, but you need to carve out time for that paracord braiding. If you have a son or daughter who loves everything DIY, you might want to recruit them for the paracord tying.
