I never knew that WD-40 could deter wasps from building nests on my house and in my yard – this is a fantastic tip that I can use during the spring and summer time. And if you're allergic to bees, even more, reason to get rid of them.
This excellent knowledge is simple enough for anyone to apply.
13. Keep wasps from building nests
Don’t let yellow jackets and other wasps ruin your spring and summer fun. Their favorite place to build nests is under eaves. So next spring mist some WD-40 under all the eaves of your house. It will block the wasps from building their nests there.
Now you hopefully won't have to worry about those pesky wasps bothering you during lunch. If they do decide to invite themselves to your party try spraying more WD-40 on the outside of your home or on them to get rid of them.
Besides bees and other insects, that's not the only thing that WD-40 can help get rid of… In regards to a household chore, it's easy to overdo it with polyurethane shine, which is why WD-40 can help with the glare:
14. Tone down polyurethane shine
A new coat of polyurethane can sometimes make a wood floor look a little too shiny. To tone down the shine and cut the glare, spray some WD-40 onto a soft cloth and wipe up the floor with it.
Do you have a zipper that's stuck? If you're dealing with a SHTF situation you may be having difficulty accessing essential supplies because you can't get inside your bug out bag or pocket.
You'll be amazed how WD-40 can save you when SHTF. Check out the next page (and the last WD-40 hack), to see what we're talking about.
