11. Create an easy paracord trotline.
A trotline is a fishing line that has baited hooks attached to it at different intervals. It is a short line that is attached to the main line using a swivel with a hook at the other end.
Use a trotline to cover the width of a river you are fishing in and you can even leave it unattended. Placing a trotline or constructing a fishing trap during a SHTF situation is ideal so you can tend to other chores.
Take note that trotlines are illegal in many states, so it's important to check with a local fish and game regulations in the area where you're fishing.
