If you work with or cut your own wood for energy, you know that branches, while smaller are more dense than trunk wood, which means they burn slower and more efficiently as well as in some cases, hotter.

But cutting medium sized to small branches is a mess, can be dangerous and in many cases, not worth the effort – unless you have a tool like this!

Admittedly, this guy has a  lot of resources to make this tool that most of us do not have or do not have on hand; he also has some skills, like welding, that frankly, are specialized.

But the concept of his tool for handling medium sized branches is awesome and if you know someone who has the necessary tools and skills or if you do, it is well worth making, particularly if you process a lot of wood for heating in the Winter.
