You’re Living Off the Grid When a Brown Recluse Spider Bites You. Here’s How to Effectively Treat It

brown recluse spider

Spiders are feared by many people around the world for a reason. It probably has to do with their eyes, scary legs, and the detailed webs they put together and later use to catch their prey.

If you have ever asked a prepper why he doesn't like spiders, he probably told it was because he didn't want to get bit by one. Even though the majority of spiders are harmless — generally the bite of a spider is as itchy as a mosquito bite — there are the occasional spiders that can actually cause you grave harm.

For every spider that won't cause you much harm, there are the few that will cause a lot of discomforts. One such spider is the brown recluse spider. This spider can make the bravest of survivalists squirm when they take the time to think about this venomous creature.

Because they knew if they were to get bit by one they would need a trip to the hospital. However, if a prepper was bugging out that might be a different story. What is a survivalist supposed to do when there's no emergency care available?

On the next page, learn what steps you should take if you are bugging out and get bit by a brown recluse spider. If there aren't any hospitals in your area you must learn how to treat it effectively now — before SHTF.

I got bit last year and did charcoal and benonite clay and it worked. Got bit a month ago and didn’t notice it for a couple days, by that time it was in bad shape. Had to get it lanced and drained and applied zinc patches twice a day. It improved fast

I was bitten by a brown recluse spider. I applied ice until the area of the bite cooled down. The venom injection chemical reaction causes heat that turns flesh to mush. Ice stops chemical reaction from totally damaging the flesh.. Get antibiotic injection soon.

Brown RECLUSE bite red flesh with black spot in the center. Inflammation could be as much as 3″inches in diameter. Itches like crazy hot as hell.

Sounds like what I know to be called fly spiders. They look horrifying but harmless. Had a class in college that was in an older building. I waa always entertained watching the girls sqirm when they saw them crawling around on the ceiling

I was bit 2x. 1st one the doctor injected the center of the hole with cortisone and drew out the poison. 2nd one I used peroxide to boil out the poison and cleaned up the rotting flesh on the site. Then I used Epson salts bath to draw out the poison. No scars but a lot of pain.

I’m being treated for a bite now. Wound up with cellulitis and mrsa from it. Been on serious antibiotics for 2 weeks. Bumped it up this week. Of not better by Friday I get hospitalized with iv meds and possible surgery. Crazy what a little spider can do. Doc says it is past the necrotising faciitis stage. Healing very slowly. Caught it quickly and started treatment early.

Got bit by one in vt, got out of a rental and felt an extreme burning itch i happened to scratch the area hard with my cane, a few minutes later was able to see why it still itched pulled off my sock and the area had a hole where i scratched about 1/4 inch deep, was lucky enough to remove the dissolving skin on my ankle where i was bit, my foot & ankle area was red and a little swollen from the poison i then put honey and a bandage on the wound, was sick for a few days and it took 31/2 months for the wound to completely heal, kept changing the bandage and putting honey into and on the wound 2-3×’s a day, it healed from the inside out it now looks like a dark brown birthmark instead of a scar about 1-11/2 inches around

All of these items made it onto my shopping list. Wish I would have read this before the little dog got bit. Maybe this would have helped her. And she wouldn’t have a huge bald spot on her face. lol
