Spiders are feared by many people around the world for a reason. It probably has to do with their eyes, scary legs, and the detailed webs they put together and later use to catch their prey.
If you have ever asked a prepper why he doesn't like spiders, he probably told it was because he didn't want to get bit by one. Even though the majority of spiders are harmless — generally the bite of a spider is as itchy as a mosquito bite — there are the occasional spiders that can actually cause you grave harm.
For every spider that won't cause you much harm, there are the few that will cause a lot of discomforts. One such spider is the brown recluse spider. This spider can make the bravest of survivalists squirm when they take the time to think about this venomous creature.
Because they knew if they were to get bit by one they would need a trip to the hospital. However, if a prepper was bugging out that might be a different story. What is a survivalist supposed to do when there's no emergency care available?
On the next page, learn what steps you should take if you are bugging out and get bit by a brown recluse spider. If there aren't any hospitals in your area you must learn how to treat it effectively now — before SHTF.

Really good article and info to know. Thanks for sharing it with me. I love echinacea. I begin taking it regularly for flu season.
Anything I tag you with, by all means, if you want to post it to group or pen forums, go right ahead. My phone makes me cut/paste to put anything in any group. I don’t cut and paste…!!! Period…!!!
GO FOR IT. !!!!!!
Thank you kind Sir!
Ok I won’t then. 🙂
I was bitten by one about a month ago while asleep woke up with a blister on the top of my foot. Was not in the wilderness but knew from the pain I had to lance it..
And Cauterized it..
Did that help you at all…?
Worked great on mine when the hospital said there was very little they could do other than abrade the dead skin.
Lance, bleach, and follow up with peroxide! You’re tissue is fucked in the bite area anyways! Peroxide will force much of the toxin up and out! It might help to cover with Raw Iodine after lance, scrub and flush!
A paste of activated charcoal on the bite 2lbs put out the venom
Silver Sol (colloidal silver infused solvent). Nuff said.
Bentonite paste will pull out the venom far better than charcoal. It absorbs 500X it’s own volume and his one of the most highly negatively charged elements on earth. Follow up by applying SilverSol ointment to the bite several times a day and wound will heal in a matter of a few days.
Use hydrogen peroxide!!!!
I got bit 5 times and this one rotted my flesh but I cleaned it out and kept it dry.
I can get rid of them !!!! I have seen a lot of homes this year with this problem !!!
Cool
Thanks so much for posting THAT picture right before bed. Appreciate that.

Damn ^^
I was bitten twice on my back by one last December. Was awful. Took me more than a month to heal. Luckily I didn’t have to have surgery. But it also caused my bp to skyrocket to 240/140 and caused me to have an eye occlusion, basically an eye stroke and I went partially blind in my left eye and was permanent. Not fun
The brown recluse and wolf spider can be similar in size depending on age. The main differences between them are their habits and thickness. Wolf spiders have legs that arch perpendicular to the ground and have a thicker body and legs – more hairy looking. Brown recluses are usually found in hot dry areas. Many times in attics, sheds; places where it’s hot and undisturbed. They’re very fast and sprawl their legs out close to the ground. Hope this helps.
Cut out the bite and the cut will be healed up in 3 ish weeks. Don’t and you will be sorry.
Stungun stops venom by stopping venom from working. Works on me.
Man we have these bastards all over my yard. We have to check in everything the kids play with everyday for them it kinda sucks.

One of my kittens got bit by a Brown Recluse. Had another one 2 yrs ago bitten by one
One bit me on my great toe on May 13, 2011…Had three surgeries in two days. Lost the toe and 20% i the foot. Didn’t heal, Dec 2015 had the rest of the toes and about half way up the foot and still hasn’t healed. Had kidney and liver problems because the poison being filtered out of the body. They love dark places..be careful putting on gloves, boots or shoes or jackets left hanging in your garage or storage shed., If you are bitten get to the hospital immediately, There is an antivenin that will help but you can’t wait long.
I can’t seem to get to the 2nd page for all the F@&)! ads!
One great treatment, and I’ve used it, is a sage poultice.

Well, I guess my apt. Is full of em.. They measure about 3″ inches sprawled.
Right!Wolf spiders can get slot bigger than Brown Recluse!
If the violin shape on their back isn’t distinguished they have 3 sets of 2 eyes which is not as common with most spiders
Check this out sue Sue Moore
Good to know! Id probably just die of a heart attack- but now i can treat others:)
