brown recluse spider

There's a reason why spiders are feared by many. They have a precise way of building their webs, many eyes, and not to mention have a creepy way of walking. Fear of spiders usually doesn't come just from their appearance alone, however. If you ask anyone why they're afraid of a spider, they'll usually say it's because of their bite.

Very few spiders in the world pose a threat to humans, even though most every spider can bite. It turns out a spider bite is usually just as painful as a mosquito bite.

That's not the case if you receive a brown recluse spider bite, however. This type of spider can make the bravest person weak in the knees. If you do happen to get bit by this scary spider, one thing's for certain: You will need to go to the hospital.

But what if you're miles away from a hospital or worse, the collapse is happening, and there are no hospitals?

After the break, learn about what you should do if you get bit by a brown recluse spider. Plus, check out what supplies you'll need to pack in your bug out bag so that you'll be fully prepared!

Activated charcoal salve. Activated charcoal is nothing more than fnely ground charcoal. Make a paste, apply.

oh, nevermind. I just read the article and it echoed what I just mentioned. P.S. the venom is a vasoconstrictor. Kills the surrounding capillary beds by cutting off blood supply. Who knows? Perhaps mixing a bit of ground rat poison (warfarin based) into the activated charcoal might help. Anybody want to test? Ha!

You could wrap some sticks in tin foil or cotton wraped in foil in a fire to make your own activated carbon.

Any small electrical shock to the bite will confuse the molecular structure of the venom. Rendering it untoxic. A simple mixture of backing soda and water (paste mix) applied to the bite directly, will draw the venom out as it dries. Helps to keep benadryl in your bag to.
