Winter weather can be deadly, especially if you are unprepared or do not know what to do to withstand the elements.

Understanding how to build a fire in snowy conditions and an emergency shelter could literally be a life saver and here is how to do it!

No one sets out on a hike or camping trip and intends to get stranded in a winter wonderland, unless winter camping is the entire goal of the trip.

For most, however, finding yourself in that position is more than an inconvenience. It means something went terribly wrong and in that situation, you must know what to do to survive the elements for at least one night.

    Most of the stuff is just common sense. Are people really so stupid they would sleep directly on freezing ground?

    I grew up and live in a place where it never snows, trust me common sense isn’t a given when it comes to environments you have no experience in. Plenty of people with no experience in the desert that underestimate the heat and sun, for example.

    What the hell kind of shelter is that, that would be gone in any type of breeze, and there would be snow on the inside
