Hardcore survivalists generally have just about everything you could want for a temporary, shelter-in-place survival situation.
For the rest of us, well, we generally have enough food and water to last a few days and whatever bread, milk and food we bought in the hours immediately preceding a predicted event.
If the event was not foreseen, we generally have what we have and that is all.
If the survival situation is only for a day or two, we will be fine. But if it extends beyond that, then we start to have some issues, or we have to move to get to where we can address daily life needs.
That is, unless we have a survival kit already in place, which we can use once our normal store of food and water runs out.
To see what should be in that kit, check out the next page.
