Once you have your food, whether it be a small animal you managed to snare or a fish you were successful at catching, cooking on a spit is really as easy as starting a fire and putting the food on a stick over the flames. It's important to note that you don't want to place your food too close to the flames, or it will burn or dry out too fast.
