What to Do AFTER a Tornado: SAFETY First!

Tornadoes are chaotic. So it's no surprise that the areas struck by a tornado are left in horrendous conditions. Broken power lines, demolished homes, offices and businesses. Cars relocated to neighboring towns and personal belongings strewn about as far as the eye can see. Just looking through photos of north central Illinois recent Tornado attack sends chills through our spine.

Studies have shown that 50% of tornado related injuries took place after the tornado hit. This means people attempting to clean up, rescue teams and those attempting restoration efforts, are falling victim to the tornadoes even after it's passed. It is such a tragic reality to face, but its necessary to know and understand what you can do to prevent further injury of yourself and your loved ones during this time.
