In a survival situation or SHTF moment, water is critically important; you have about three days that you can last without it.

When you find it, however, particularly if you cannot get it from a known, safe source, you must be able to both filter it and purify it.

Water that is not purified can have parasites, bacteria and viruses that can make you sick or in an extreme case, even kill you.

Ironically, one way it can kill you is to give you dysentery, which then will dehydrate you via diarrhea causing an exponential curve that hurts you even as you try to solve your water issue.

Fortunately, there is one way of purifying water that is so easy, it is amazing more people do not know about it.
