It is no secret that if you are lost in the wilderness or facing a SHTF moment or survival situation, water is one of your primary concerns.
You can last about three days without any water, but if you find yourself without water in your home, you have plenty of options – at least for the immediate to short term.
The retainer tank on the back of toilets is a good source, although you should sanitize it first, just to be sure.
You also could construct solar stills or collect standing water around your house and property, although the same sensitization rules apply.
In short, if you are facing a water emergency while in your home or bug-out shelter, you have options.
