Survivalists are a resourceful breed of people. We strive to master specific skills, discover current techniques, and improve upon them all while creating new methods along the way. Doing this ensures we are always prepared, capable, and knowledgeable on various topics related to survival. This is important because if/when SHTF, we are ready to deal with whatever comes our way. The key is to never get comfortable. Much like working out, you don't want to develop your body and the stop once optimum results are reached. Even if you are confident and pleased with your current skill sets, you need to stay active and feed your brain new concepts, ideas and techniques to stay on top of your game.
To put things into perspective, reflect on how much you've learned in the past year? The new equipment you've acquired, the new skills you've adopted and the new perspectives you've attained. You can't put a price on that.
Have you ever thought about what you can find in the garbage? How it can help you? And what you can create out of it? Chances are no. And prior to today, we had not given trash much thought either. But you'll be blown away by the stuff you can create with the most basic items.
