We have heard great things about the Brompton's NYC Edition Folding Bike and decided to look into it. The first thing that attracted us, being an apartment dweller, is the way it folds up for easy storage. But not just that. It is light enough to carry with you inside of whatever place you may go, not leaving it outside to potentially be stolen.

For the prepper or survivalist, this is a great bike. We find ourselves thinking about EMPs and if during a crisis situation, your car is out of operation you can ride your Brompton into town without a problem. And again, also hang onto it in case some desperate thief decides they need transportation as well.
