One aspect of bugging in (or bugging out) that not many people talk about are the sheer boredom that is likely to occur if you haven't thought to plan activities for people to do while they wait out the disaster.
This is why you should pack plenty of coloring books and toys for kids, books to read, board games, and other ways to keep your minds occupied so that you don't dwell on boredom or fear, which can both bring down your mental strength.
Another way around this boredom is to prepare for plenty of craft projects that will allow everyone to keep their minds completely occupied (and allow you to practice your critical thinking skills for other survival situations) and have fun while doing so.

Boredom will be solved you’ll actually have to work for food and water and you’ll have to be constantly vigilant to protect your resources there’s a reason why people before the grid didn’t need TV or Internet
Fill it full and put the nozzle of my air compressor blow gun in there… Might have to try this.
