When encountering a hippo, you're pretty much a goner, unless he chooses to ignore you. That usually isn't very likely, however.

I can't believe that hippo decided not to attack! How incredibly lucky. But, like that woman stated in the video – the odds are not really in your favor when it comes to swimming with hippos. Hopefully this experience will make them think twice before going swimming in hippo-infested waters again.
