(Video) While Bugging Out, Here’s How to Find Edible Fish That Live Virtually Anywhere

catching a fish

Fishing is a relatively low energy way of ensuring you have protein to eat in a survival setting; and in most cases, even primitive fishing gear will get the job done!

In this video, enough pan fish for a meal are caught in a very short time from a drainage ditch in Florida!

In all but the extreme cold, if you are patient and have a strategy, you can catch fish; the key is matching what they are eating with your bait and figuring out where the fish are lurking.

Luckily, throughout the US, survival=level edible fish are to be had virtually everywhere you go – even ponds in cities usually have edible fare!

What odd places have you caught fish? Tell us below!

It probably works if you live in Florida, not so good in the desert. Really hard to find those elusive sand fish.

you know this, yet you still live there? This is why I don’t send money to Africa.

Well…uh…ahem. Ty, If you knew anything about me, or nature, You would know that I don’t live in a desert nor is there any such critter as a sand fish. (IE: a fish that swims in sand) so… you effectively swallowed my comment, hook, line, and sinker. And thats all I’m going to say about that.
