(Video) Where to Go if SHTF? For Some, the Answer is Surprising!

person stranded on the water

There seem to be a few commonalities that just about everyone agrees with regarding where to head when SHTF.

Those are heading to a warmer climate with low population density and abundant natural resources; in this video, those places are highlighted.

The video maker comes to the conclusion that there really is no place to head that is ideal if the survival situation is dire enough; he concludes it is a personal decision and every choice has consequences.

Regardless, the important point of this video is to point out that you need to think about this and have a plan – wherever you choose.

What do you think? Where would you head? Why? Tell us below.

I agree with you on all points. I post a lot on your channel here and the last few years, I’ve been looking more at bugging-in than bugging-out. I’ve lived in the southeast all my life. I tell you now, people there are NOT your friends. Especially in the Florida panhandle. Those people in the panhandle are mean, rude and will not put up with people invading their land. I agree with you on the point that there’s not safe to be or go. Which is why I went with the bugging-in scenario. Many people find themselves in my situation: they used to be ready and prepared very well but over the years we’ve lost our land and supplies and now we’re just as vulnerable as anyone. I hate to say it quite this way but let’s not forget the millions and millions of people who will not survive the SHTF situation. So there will be much less population to contend with than expected. I submit about half to three quarters of our population will not survive. Many non-SHTF and non-preppers I’ve spoken to fully expect someone else to take care of them. There’s no telling them otherwise. So they will be the first parish. The only good thing is that those who do survive will be hardy, hard working people who know exactly what has happened and know what the stages are. These are the people who will rebuild. I guess I could write a book on this subject as you could as well! But I won’t do that here! 🙂

I agree with you for the most part, except for the point about those who expect others to take care of them perishing first. Those people are highly dangerous and are the first who will resort to violence to get what they want. And there will be hordes of them. They could easily take out even the most prepared prepper by their sheer numbers. Best bet with them is to lay low and make it look like you have even less than they have.

I agree. Stay hidden and be prepared to defend your place and your supplies, but also have a plan for where and how to go if it does become necessary.
