Without a doubt, one of the most valuable tools an outdoorsman can have at their disposal is a reliable axe. When the pioneers were moving out west, this was the one tool they could employ that would allow them to do any task that was required. Entire houses homesteads could be built using an excellent axe.

Nowadays, most axes are mass-produced, lessening the overall quality and care that goes into a traditionally reliable blade. While many of these axes are more than capable of performing at acceptable levels for most people who don't have to rely on them for a living or survival, the best axes are still forged by hand by master craftsmen.
