[VIDEO] Watch What He Does With A Swiss Army Knife to Make Fire

A good Swiss Army Knife (the real deal by Victorinox) is an invaluable tool for any camper, survivalist or just for everyday use if you work with your hands or in the outdoors.

Depending on the model you have (there are literally dozens) your knife may have a magnifying glass and if that is the case, you have all you need to start a fire.

This guy uses his Swiss Army Knife saw tool to scrape shavings in to a fine powder. He then uses his knife's magnifying glass to focus the Sun's light on the shavings to start an ember, which grows into a flame.

Even if your Swiss Army Knife does not have the magnifying glass, you can use the saw tool to get started and then a separate magnifying glass to start your ember.

Watch the video on the next page to see how easy this is to do!

As a survival instructor this video was crap. He didn’t say what his weird looking piece of wood was. He didn’t use a “known” material for his wood….then he didn’t even start the fire!!

That was the most misleading title I’ve ever read, not once in that video did anyone use a Swiss Army Knife saw to start a fire.
