Emelie states the wood she uses for the whistle is from the Salix Caprea. You might want to note that because it looks like a soft wood and the bark sheath comes off rather easily. Watch the following video and you will understand!

Honestly, until she replaced the bark we had no idea how this whistle was going to work. We kept waiting for her to bring out some kind of hand-held drill to bore a hole through the wood!

But it immediately connected when she slid the bark back over her project.
