Most preppers hope they will never have to use their skills or supplies. After all, no one hopes that they will finally get to shoot their fire extinguisher before their home, and all of their possessions go up in flames. However, there is always the off chance that something will happen which we cannot predict or fully prepare for. In these situations, it will be best just to dig in deep and wait out the storm.
What if you become a target, though? People may know that you've been preparing. If they don't, they will likely notice that you seem to be doing fairly well when everyone else is starving. People tend to notice things like that.
Whan you become the target, will you be able to defend yourself and your family? Smart preppers focus on food and water first, before weapons. If you follow this model, there is the chance that something will happen before you've had the opportunity to arm up.
Now you have to face an onslaught and have nothing to defend yourself with. If you have a file, though, and a few tools, you can make yourself an excellent combat blade and prepare for battle. Watch the video on the next page to learn how.

Just need to affix a price and accept orders, I’ll take one, the dagger.
Cool
I have a couple of knives my dad made in 1941 while he was in the Sevices. He made them out of old bastard files and broken aircraft parts for the guard and pomals .
Still a nice knife man. Nothing like making your own.
Just started doing it…..that was the first, this is the second
When I had a forge i used to turn old files into knives and hammers into axes. It is so fun to recycle. I should build another one again and start pounding stuff out again and selling them on etsy or something.
I actually like this one more. Cheaper and still practical.
