Don’t get any ideas! The only reason, our survivalist assures us, he calls this shelter “The Meth Lab” is because of its appearance in the woods. Off Grid Warrior firmly states the only things he’ll be cooking in and near this shelter is chunks of meat!
However, this winter shack, built in the cold and snow, is well-thought-out and – with some revisions – is wholly hardcore and built entirely by hand!
After the break watch him as he methodically thinks through how he’s going to build it, the way he determines where to build and why, and observe how Off Grid chops his wood and establishes how construction will begin and end.
There will be obstacles. Sometimes a camera does not want to function when the temperature drops below zero and, because of bad weather, he is often forced to stop and start again – but it’s an interesting progression that one or more of us may have to go through ourselves one day!

That must be so much fun hanging out in the woods like this building your own shelter. I would love to try something like this. Maybe eve take a crack at building some kind of log cabin.
