You would grow your own produce. And you'd still have the luxury of a shower, a washing machine, a fridge, and freezer, and even have the internet! And no energy bill!

This Australian couple built their off the grid home using two 40 foot shipping containers. They did all of the construction themselves for about $60,000. Their home is amazing.
