Every survivalist knows that when they head out into the great outdoors, common sense demands they carry a survival kit.

Less understood, however, is the need to carry one or have access to one in a suburban or urban environment.

Chances are much greater, however, that a survival situation or SHTF moment will arise when most of us are either in or traveling to and from a suburban or urban environment.

This is because the vast majority of us live in one of those two environments.

What goes into your survival kit for the City versus the wild is much different – the needs and challenges you will face are much different and because of that, you have to plan accordingly.
