Trying to think of ideas for a bugout shelter for when SHTF? If you happen to have a root cellar, there are a variety of ways you can transform the space into a perfectly functional shelter.
This survivalist on the video on the next page was able to create a shelter composed primarily of concrete with a door made out of scrap metal. It comes fully equipped with a drainpipe and an air vent reaching to the outside.
The exhaust can be controlled with a small door to limit the amount of cold or warm air permitted into the room. Isn't that clever?

Root cellar yes. Storm Shelter needs tweeked. From the shadows there are many trees around. The outer door needs to open in so you don’t get trapped in if debris falls on door opening while your in there.
