Before the advent of metallurgy, hundreds of cultures around the world used a variety of materials in the crafting of their weapons and tools. While many relied on stone tools for the purpose of durability, when a sharp edge was required, a weapon made of bone, such as that of a deer or elk, was one of the best tools you could have.
Bone was also easier to work with and required less time to shape than its stone counterpart. When Europeans came to the New World, bone blades were very common among the Native Americans until they were traded in for the much tougher steel.
Luckily, the practice of making these knives has not been lost to history, and can still be called upon in times of need if you find yourself in a survival situation or when SHTF.
Learn how to craft a beautiful bone blade in the video on the next page.

We shape them on a sandstone rock. Same way you made spears as a kid on concrete.
Im a knife maker and if it were me i would go buy a couple good files and hand file them. May not be primitive but it’s not a belt sander.
I cant make these if anyone wants one https://m.facebook.com/athenaknife/
