While bone blades may have ultimately been replaced by steel, bone is still one of the best materials you could hope for in a SHTF situation and you need to get a knife in your hand.
Learn how to craft an elk bone knife in the video below.
While it may not be able to get quite as sharp or as shiny as steel, there's no denying that there is a beauty in this knife style. Even if you have all the steel knives in the world, you'll still probably want to craft this blade simply for its excellent looks.
Plus, if you ever need it, it'll no doubt come in handy in a pinch.
This is an excellent and very informative video that does a great job of presenting some top-notch information.

We shape them on a sandstone rock. Same way you made spears as a kid on concrete.
Im a knife maker and if it were me i would go buy a couple good files and hand file them. May not be primitive but it’s not a belt sander.
I cant make these if anyone wants one https://m.facebook.com/athenaknife/
