Every survivalist knows that one of the most important things to surviving off the land is to build a shelter that will meet your needs. You don't want to sleep on the freezing ground in the water or get overheated by the sun.
Having the right kind of shelter also means providing yourself with a safe place to cook food and rest. The log shelter video below by North Survival shows us how he made a truly amazing shelter that went above and beyond. Wait until you see what it looks like when he is finished!
It is unbelievable how this guy built a survival log shelter out of the materials he found around him and very few supplies he had on hand. The base of the shelter is sturdy and strong made with logs.
This shelter even has a bed that is made from weaved together spruce leaves, thus creating a very comfortable place to sleep. The tarp protects him from the heat and other elements and this shelter even has a stunning view.
This is definitely the kind of shelter you want to make if you have to bug out during a collapse or perhaps just want to get away from it all for a while!
This isn’t a log structure at all. It’s a raised log bed with a tarp over it.
Fail
Sleeping on a log bed is A) Super uncomfortable and B) loses body heat.. I would rather sleep on a bow bed.
This so, oh what is the word?, lousy. To tall, to narrow, to far away from the fire reflector, to much work, to open, etc, etc. A much better and simpler approach is a lean to against the root ball with about a foot clearance for smoke, use the existing log as a back wall and make the bed on the ground. spend your energy on cutting fire wood for a much smaller fire that will keep the smaller shelter warm with less fuel. And you won’t need a large ax to build it.
Nice if you happen to have an ax and a tarp.

Huh ? This has ti be he worst shelter ive ever seen lol
First good wind that comes along his$#%&!@*is literally to the breeze troop.Good construction at the beginning but the a frame is too vertical.
Solid base, but the rest looks sloppy
Lame click bait.
All that for a flimsy lean to?
lots of great examples on YouTube. when we’re all living in these, we’ll know at least one person that will say they learned it off YouTube.
