Pre-planning is very important for any DIY project. This is especially true if your project is an off-grid shelter you plan to live in for at least six months! Still, there are always unexpected things that show up to either help or hinder your project and/or lifestyle.

At the time of the video on page two our host had cut trees, had designed his own work area, was living in a trailer, but had not yet built his cabin.

Still, the area is so well organized you have to admire his smarts and tenacity! This man knows what he wants and is making plans accordingly!

After the break, go on over to the next page and take a look at his video.

If you are any kind of a prepper or survivor you will genuinely appreciate what he is doing! Here is to motivation and being primed for your construction mission!

Is it possible, please, to get written commentary and static pictures instead of video? Of all of your videos please.

I’m curious as to which state this private compound is located.

That is perhaps the most asinine response to a post I have ever read given its lack of validity and common sense.

ok anyone that looks at your profile can tell its fake …no posts ..only 15 friends …no pics….say what you want …it is my opinion …thats all

…or perhaps my profile is set to private so only friends can view photos and perhaps I don’t live my life on FB, hence not many ‘friends’.

Some pretty cool content here but the click bait titles are cringe. You Won’t Believe What Happens Next!

That’s some pretty expensive stuff for living off the grid. I guess it takes money to get a “good start”

Anybody else got stuck on the fact Robert was fb stalking a stranger?

That’s It. I’m done following this page. Always with the click bait, and EVERYTHING is somehow supposed to be phenomenal, outstanding, totally amazing, never heard of before, invaluable! Then….nothing but a waste of time!

The tip is so invaluable that it requires you to go to a third party website and click thru a clickbait article so the guy giving the invaluable advice gets paid.

Why is there a photo of a shipping container for this thread? yet another die hard survivor post talks about why shipping containers are the last thing you want to use??

  12. Johnnie Stone said:

If he painted the door brown and painted rocks on the door like the surrounding ones from a distance you would not notice the container !!! Also some more dirt on the top and rocks!!!

shipping containers are not designed to take excessive weight on the flat surfaces. only the corners. he got around this, it seems, by going into the side of an existing hill. minimal dirt depths on dirt coverage show that awareness. I love the idea though of yours of painting camo on the container though
