(VIDEO) This Man Eats the Hottest Pepper in the World. Will He Survive? This is Gut Wrenching to Witness!

man holding the hottest pepper in the world

As a prepper, you may sometimes feel inclined to eat something you haven't tried before. It may be because you're running out of options to find food near your bug out home, or you're feeling brave and would like to try eating something that few have attempted to eat due to the potential — and sometimes deadly — consequences.

Well, when an old man decides to try the hottest pepper in the world, called the Bhut Jolokia, I don't think he knew what he was getting into. This is not the type of pepper that's hot at the beginning and then it dies down. It continues to get hotter and hotter, until the person who eats it can't withstand the pain. Some people who have tried this pepper have actually died.

But despite all that, the old man who decides to try this pepper doesn't let the facts phase him. In fact, you'll never guess what happens when he decides to do the unthinkable and take a bite for himself. Find out whether he lives or dies on the video on the next page!

The hottest chili , since 2013,psince is the Carolina Reaper whit over 2.000.000 Scoville units. Bhut Jolokia, also called Ghost chili, have only about 1 million Scoville units…

They have a hybrid that’s even hotter now. Its the reaper crossed with another that I can’t remember. Pepper Joe has them.

He’s been saying he has one hotter than the reaper for a couple years now and I believe him. But until he stabilizes the breed and puts it through the GBOWR testing, it’s not the hottest in the world.

The hottest pepper in the world is in my freezer. It was a university experiment that used hybrids to create a pepper so hot, I was told never attempt to eat it

The pepper hotter then the Reaper is the HP56 Death Strain. It’s owned by Tim Currie, the developer of the Reaper and owner of Pucker Butt Pepper Company. They are not for sale yet, and we’re actually developed for cancer research due to the high proportion of placental tissue they grow. They are over 2,000,000 SHU, versus 1.56 million for the Reaper.

Oh yeah, lol. I told that joke to the comedian Johnathan Winters in San Diego at a US Marine Corp graduation. It stole his show. The General laughed his head off while Winters( no relation) gave me a dirty look. Lol.

I should also state that I don’t eat them like I do habanero peppers. That’s too much

The ghost pepper is not the hottest pepper in the world… It’s hot, certainly, but not the hottest. That record goes to another pepper.

I have four Reaper and six Komodo Dragon chilli plants growing at the moment . I used eight Dragon chillies in a chilli con carne that gave me twelve portions of 11 oz each ( 11 portions in freezer & will last me three months ) . The Dragon chilli has a rating of 1.4 million schovils as the reaper is 1.6 million but can go up to 2.2 million I’ve read .

  18. Kent Caskey said:

I was gonna tell them they were wrong. I knew Carolina Reaper was on top.

  19. Chris Proctor said:

That’s correct, Graham Wright. When they do the testing for the record, they take several and average the Scoville rating. His hottest pepper was 2.2 million.

  20. Ray Winter said:

Not the hottest pepper. Ghost pepper has 1.0 M scoviles and the Carolina Reaper has 1.5 M scoviles. Still hot, nonetheless.
