Steel wool is not an obvious glass cleaner, but it is a very effective one.

It is strong enough to remove almost any stain or detritus on your windshield, but not abrasive enough to harm your windshield.

It is important to mention that you can only use this method on glass – the steel wool will scratch and harm fiber-glass.

That said, it is hard to find a more effective way to clean a windshield and the treatment afterwards will ensure that you can drive with an unobstructed view in just about any type of weather.
