Mosquitoes are more than just a pesky nuisance that plague summer nights, infest marshes and make some fishing trips unbearable.
They are by far the most deadly organisms on the planet year after year, decade after decade, probably for as long as human beings have been roaming the planet.
In fact, mosquito-borne diseases kill over one million people – each year on average!
They are hosts to deadly multiple deadly diseases and parasites and often those can infect and sicken humans and some animals!
While you can never completely eradicate mosquitoes (some pesticides can, but we generally do not employ them because of issues they cause other wildlife, particularly birds) you can take measures to reduce their number.
The video on the next page covers one ingenious trap that anyone can make quickly, easily and inexpensively!

Tried it. Several times. Great for fruit flies but doesn’t catch mosquitos worth a damn.
Wish I could find something for spiders
Does not work

I’ve tried this. It works. It captures flying insects, but you will need multiple traps to be effective.
