Having plenty of paracord on you at all times is one of the oft-cited rules of effective prepping and survival. Paracord can be used for pretty much everything, from snares to shelters and even for fire building if you are relying on a bow drill.

With that being the case, there are a lot of creative ways for preppers to make sure that they are carrying a lot of paracord all the time in ways that it won't get in the way.

After all, very few people want a big messy tangled knot of rope in their bug out bag when there are much easier solutions to carrying it that can also prove useful.

One of the most popular ways to carry extra paracord is as a handle or wrap for knives and tools. Many people even choose to wrap their walking sticks in paracord so they can maintain an excellent grip and use the ample cordage if they need to.
