As a prepper, are you prepared for a nuclear fallout? It's true, there are stories and photos all over of impressive fallout shelters that also act as home. There are shelters with karaoke bars, dance floors, fake backyards and some even have jacuzzies. These are the types of shelters that can benefit hundred of people wth their endless amount of space.
Shelters like that are fun for inspiration, but what about everyday people who can't afford them?
There are plenty of affordable options available that will protect loved ones from a nuclear disaster. From metal shelters in the shape of a dome to shipping containers, a shelter doesn't necessarily have to be fancy to help you live through a SHTF moment.
In other words, consider how much space your family really needs and plan accordingly!

Good for a few days, but not weeks, or months. Not much thought behind planning. You need large amount of water. Air filtration. Sanitation. Cooking source. For three people, you need at least 4 times that size and then the opening / entryway has a myriad of design flaws. Has to open after tornado/earthquake , etc…
If a nuke goes off 45 to 60 miles away , you will have to stay down there for 3 weeks until the dust settles. Then traveling away from danger zone will be a must. If farther than 60 miles, have about 1/8 of an acre covered in heavy plastic so you can later grow food. Also a 12’x20′ greenhouse with LED lighting and also a solar powered well pump with high quality filter.
Looks to me like a backyard booty bunker. A fallout shelter needs to have life sustainable necessities such as food, water and a filtration system for much needed oxygen
