If you have ever spent even a few hours on Pinterest, chances are you have seen one or two references to a “tiny house” or “self-built house.” This isn't surprising, as the tiny house phenomenon is gaining ground in our country, especially with the youngest generation that is preparing to leave home.
The reason for this phenomenon is because of the terrifying realities of our economy. Every young person is expected to go to college nowadays, and jobs which previously could have been done with only a high school equivalency now require a 4-year college degree (and five years of experience, but I digress).
Because of this, many people are looking to reduce the impact of today's world on their own wallets, and one of the most attractive ways to do that is to live in smaller and smaller houses.
