You may have a pretty sweet gun collection, but how much of it can you say you built yourself? Do you have an improvised grenade launcher? How 'bout an array of tasers made from bits and pieces of what most would call trash? Take a look at this collection to see how you can make use of just about anything to make an effective weapon.
Sure, all of these are non-lethal weapons. After all, making actual deadly firearms out of scraps is probably illegal in most places because a) you don't have a license to construct a firearm and b) if it malfunctions it could hurt you and others you didn't intend to hurt. But that's not to say you couldn't.
In a TEOTWAWKI situation, you consider putting together some weapons to defend yourself, and being able to use absolutely anything you can get your hands on is going to make that task a lot easier.
So start practicing. Whip together a taser. Make an Airsoft grenade launcher. Practicing these skills will make improvising a lot easier down the road.

A non-licensed person may make a firearm, provided it is not for sale and the maker is not otherwise prohibited from possessing firearms (such as a convicted felon).
Good to know but it’s fairly standard for state and federal governments to enforce their opinion regardless of the law or our rights.

Let me protect myself and family with an airsoft projectile or better yet take down small game to feed my kids with a bottle rocket gun. Yes I ran out of all ammunition but I still have a gross of bottle rockets in the basement.
