What is really interesting about the footage over on the next page, is the students who constructed this primitive shelter also lived in it for a week. They used all stone-age tools, ate food they harvested themselves, and pretty much lived as they might should ever the grid goes down and the SHTF!

This was all a part of the origins long-term program at Roots School and we cannot praise them enough for their efforts. As the instructor and vlogger says, these people have other “real” lives and jobs. The fact they came out to do this is telling of how many everyday ordinary people feel it is time to get back to nature and take some tips from our pioneer ancestors!

And, of course, as survivalists, we can appreciate that mindset.
