Ever since man first picked up a rock and bashed another man in the head, our species has been absolutely obsessed with weapons. Love them or hate them, they are a part of our DNA, and anyone getting into a fight will instinctively look around the area for something they can wield to give them a greater advantage over their opponent.

Of course, these weapons have not only been used for fighting each other, but for bringing down game of all sizes, preventing us from getting hurt taking down larger and larger game until the era of firearms, in which there is nothing on this planet that cannot be quickly defeated with a decisive squeeze of the trigger.

Before we got to this point, though, mankind had to go through a bit of creative development, and our tools for killing have evolved in a steady pattern all over the world.
