If you are out in the wilderness starting a fire should be the least of your problems. If you keep that lighter or striker around you will always find tinder but if you are just not sure what material works best, here are some great options!

Dryer lint has always been our favorite fire starter because it comes to us easily, from our own dryer, and it ignites so easily! Just stick it in a baggy and stuff it in your backpack and you are set!

However, we love the rest of these ideas too. They are items to keep in the back of your mind for use at a later time, to experiment with them as our host has. Because one day you may seriously need to create a fire and if your usual supplies/tinder are not handy you will need to get inventive!
