When you want to improve your chances of having enough food in your store when you’re bugging out, you’ve got to cover your bases. That means knowing how to forage, how to hunt, fish, and of course… knowing how to set up some traps.
One of the most classic types of traps for survivalists is the Paiute Deadfall trap, which has been around for centuries.
The Paiute Native Americans lived in what is now present-day Nevada, and they mastered the setup of this trap. The Paiute Deadfall requires a trigger system and a heavy object like a rock or stone that crushes the animal once the trigger is pulled.
If you’ve ever thought about making your own Paiute Deadfall trap next time you’re out in the wild, it is remarkably simple. Read up on this remarkable trap on the next page to see how to perfect this trap!

This type of trap and pits with spikes…etc. are very effective for small or large game….But, even during the end-game, leaving these around un-attended is a bad idea if it nails some kid…
The photo is a figure 4 deadfall, not a Paiute deadfall!

Learn how to grow food. The wildlife will disappear fast. Average guy can’t get a deer in 4 weeks of hunting, you think it will be easier with 1000 x as many hunters?
Always good to know both.
