For the most part, we know what knives should and should not do. For some, it is the sharpness of the blade and for others, it is the thickness and length of the hilt. Below, Lilly give us her opinion and takes us through her impressive knife collection!

While our collection is not nearly as large as hers, we have also had the problem of working with a knife or two and cutting ourselves because the hilt was too short and knuckles somehow made contact with the blade! We also like that Lilly demonstrates a blade’s sharpness by creating tinder. This is usually our first test as well.

Some may think any old knife will do but once you find yourself in a SHTF scenario you will be thanking people like Lilly who advise on the best and worst of a collection! But, as always, ask around.
