While most survivalists would love to spend as much time as needed tending to a traditional garden, the reality is life and living space intrudes.
Container-gardening, though, allows you to grow pretty much whatever you want while maximizing your yield per plant, with very little maintenance required.
Like anything in life, container-gardening comes with a trade-off: It is more expensive in terms of equipment than traditional, in-the-ground gardening.
But your savings come in terms of space and time spent maintaining your plants, which in a survival situation, is a huge benefit!
