tent without cordage

It is always a good thing to learn a new technique. After all, one of these days you may simply not have enough rope to tie down and secure your tent.

As we know creating cordage, although doable in the wild, takes patience. All that precious time you could use instead for the fight for survive – or at least making supper!

All you really need is a good, strong tarp, preferably with grommets, some long sticks, and the ambition to put it all together!

After the break, we encourage you to go over to the next page and watch a simple but rousing video starring Survival Lilly.

She shows us how to create one of these quick shelters without cordage and, as with everything she does, its completion is well-shown and inspiring!

Um rope is quick and easy, lightweight, and packs small. If you have a tarp tent you just leave the rope connected when you move and it will never get lost.
