[VIDEO] See How You Can Grow 168 Plants In This DIY A-Frame Hydroponic System

Although the idea behind hydroponics seems a very contemporary way of growing plants without soil, it has actually been around – or at least hinted at – since 1627 in a book Francis Bacon. Nevertheless, the idea of cultivating plants in water, giving them minerals and nutrients to help in their growth process is still revolutionary to some people.

In the video on page two our host shows us his hydroponics structure. It contains twelve foot tubes at a three inch width, sitting on a six foot by ten foot frame.

In this case, the New Jersey “farmer” is growing basil and his system of water distribution, release valves and even a temperature gauge is ingenious. And, we won’t lie, even a little confusing for us amateurs!

Please take a look at this video and you might want to have some paper ready to take notes. It is quite a clever, inventive and very cost effective for a DIY project for any modern day gardener!

My garage isn’t either. N it will fit in ur ba$#%&!@*t. The barrels cost me 7$ apiece. I already owned the lights. Each of my grow beds has a heat mat under. The high barrel is my fish/ crawfish tank n has an aquarium heater. The water needs to stay at70 to grow the fish. I’ll wrap my fish tank n sump in rockwool to insulate.

Mila I’d like to get 3 of these if our yard is big enough and just do herbs. We could make $ selling them to restaurants.
